Quilt As You Go Workshop
Hi Ladies of the Guild,
If you would like to learn another way to put a quilt together - come to a class on July 16.
I will be demonstrating the stitch and flip method which is learning to quilt as you go.
You will need your sewing machine, thread, scissors, pins, a smaller iron and mat is helpful.
If you would come with jelly roll strips (2”) or cut your own 2”, or 1 1/2” strips. I used both sizes in my table runner.
Bring batting and backing to be the size of the table runner, square, composition book cover and placemat. The top of your table runner will be using the 1 1/2” and 2” strips.
The table runner is 15” X 30” - the finished size would be 14”X 28”. You really can make these as wide or as long as you’d like.
The middle square would be 9” Square. The fabrics for the row could coordinate with the square fabric. If you want to use up rows of fabric - make a scrappy table runner.
If you want a smaller project - you can make a placemat approx. 14” X 20” or a cover for a composition book cover - 11” X 16”.
Here are pictures of a rectangle table runner, a square block, a the composition book cover and a place mat.
Looking forward to getting some sewing done on July 16.
